Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of chiropractic treatment of lumbosacral posterior arthropathy by"treating lower diseases and upper treatment".Methods A total of 160 patients with lumbosacral posterior arthropathy were selected from outpatient department of Wangjing Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,Electric Power Teaching Hospital,Capital Medical University,and Second Affiliated Hospital,Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from October 2020 to May 2022,and they were divided into treatment group and control group according to random number table method,with 80 cases in each group.The control group was treated by massage manipulation therapy,and the treatment group was treated by chiropractic treatment of"treating lower diseases and upper treatment".Both groups were treated for two courses of treatment.The visual analogue scale(VAS)score and lumbar motion before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and those of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,lumbar anterior flexion,posterior extension,left flexion,right flexion,left rotation,and right rotation in both groups were greater than those before treatment,and those in the treatment group were greater than those in the control group(P<0.05).The clinical effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of chiropractic method by"treating lower diseases and upper treatment"in the treatment of lumbosacral posterior arthropathy is better than the massage manipulation therapy.
