Protective effect of L-carnitine combined with Cytidine Diphosphate Choline on neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy
Objective To observe the protective effect of L-carnitine(LC)combined with Cytidine Diphosphate Choline(CDPC)on neonatal hy-poxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE).Methods A total of 98 children patients with HIE were selected from the Second People's Hospital of Xin-ing,Qinghai Province from August 2019 to August 2023 were selected, and they were divided into control group(CDPC treatment)and experimental group(LC combined with CDPC treatment),with 49 cases in each group. Both groups were treated for 14 days, and the recovery situation,therapeu-tic effect, and adverse reactions of two groups were compared;the serum levels of creatine kinase isoenzyme-MB(CK-MB),neuron-specific enolase(NSE),S100B,endothelin-1(ET-1),and lipoxinA4(LXA4)were compared before and after treatment. Results The time of convulsion stop, reflex recovery, muscle tone recovery, and consciousness recovery in experimental group was shorter than that in control group(P<0.05).The clinical ef-fect of experimental group was better than that of control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the serum levels of CK-MB,NSE,S100B,and ET-1 in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in experimental group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05);the level of LXA4 in both groups was higher than that before treatment, and that in experimental group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion LC combined with CDPC can accelerate the recovery of HIE,improve the therapeutic effect, reduce the serum levels of CK-MB,NSE,S100B,and ET-1,increase the level of LXA4,and is safe and reliable.
