Effect of peer support on happiness and postpartum depression of preg-nant women with pregnancy hypothyroidism
Objective To explore effect of peer support on happiness and postpartum depression of pregnant women with pregnancy hypothy-roidism.Methods Ninety-eight pregnant women with pregnancy hypothyroidism admitted to Department of Obstetrics in Huaian First People's Hospital of Jiangsu Province from July 2021 to September 2022 were selected and they were divided into two groups by random number table method,with 49 cases in each group.Control group received routine psychological care measures,while observation group received peer support psychological care measures on the basis of control group.Happiness,social support,adverse pregnancy outcomes and postpartum depression before and after intervention between two groups were compared.Results After intervention,happiness perception and social support scores of two groups were higher than those before intervention,and observation group was higher than control group(P<0.05).Incidence rate of adverse pregnancy outcomes and postpartum depression in observation group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing peer support nursing measures for pregnant women with pregnancy hypothyroidism can help improve their perception of happiness,strengthen social support levels,and reduce the occurrence of adverse pregnancy outcomes and postpartum depression.
