A case report and literature review of adult non-obstructive megaduode-num disease
Macroduodenum is a disease characterized by significant dilation of the duodenum,relatively rare in clinic.Its etiology can be divided into obstructive and non-obstructive.This paper reports a case of megaduodenum disease diagnosed for the first time in Hexi Hospital,Nanjing First Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University.After admission,gastroenteroscopy,CT enterography,and CT angiography of superior mesenteric artery were performed.After excluding other obstructive factors,congenital non-obstructive megaduodenum disease was diagnosed.Congenital megaduodenum is most often diagnosed in infancy and requires surgical treatment.Congenital megaduodenum in adults is extremely rare and needs to be distinguished from other obstructive causes.This case provides the gastroenteroscopy image and imaging data of the disease,providing ideas for the diagnosis of the disease.
