Mediating effect of chronic disease self-efficacy in psychological resilience and medical coping style of diabetes patients
Objective To explore mediating effect of chronic disease self-efficacy in psychological resilience and medical coping style of diabetes patients.Methods A total of 110 patients with diabetes who first visited Department of Internal Medicine,Affiliated Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital of Nantong University from October 2021 to November 2022 were selected as research subjects.A systematic survey was conducted by using general information questionnaire,chronic disease self-efficacy scale,mental resilience scale,and medical coping style questionnaire.Me-diating effect between variables was tested by using structural equation model.Results Chronic disease self-efficacy was positively correlated with psychological resilience(P<0.05),psychological resilience was positively correlated with medical coping style(P<0.05),and chronic disease self-efficacy was positively correlated with medical coping style(P<0.05).It was a fully mediating effect model.Contribution rate of intermediary effect to total effect was 92.09%.Conclusion Chronic disease self-efficacy can indirectly affect psychological resilience level of diabetes patients through medical coping style.It is necessary to focus on psychological construction and counseling,improve medical coping style,and strengthen awareness of daily self maintenance.
