Effect of LEARNS health education intervention on type 2 diabetes melli-tus patients and the impact on quality of life scores
Objective To observe the effect of LEARNS health education intervention on type 2 diabetes mellitus patients and the impact on quali-ty of life scores. Methods A total of 89 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to the Huaian First People's Hospital,Jiangsu Province from July 2020 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group(44 cases)and experimental group(45 cases)by random number table method. The control group was taught according to the routine health education mode of type 2 diabetes, and the ex-perimental group was taught by LEARNS health education based on the control group. After intervention, disease uncertainty,self-efficacy,blood glucose control index, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the disease uncertainty score of the two groups was lower than before nursing, and the experimental group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the self-efficacy score of the two groups was higher than before nursing, and the experimental group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);fasting blood glucose level,2 h postprandial blood glucose level and glycosylated hemoglobin value in two groups were lower than before nursing, and the experimental group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the quality of life score of the two groups was higher than before nursing, and the experimental group was higher than the con-trol group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The introduction of LEARNS health education mechanism in type 2 diabetes mellious patients is conducive to the reduction of disease uncertainty, the enhance of self-efficacy,the improvement of blood glucose con-trol,and the optimization of quality of life.
