Application of empowerment theory combined with early warning inter-vention in chemotherapy patients with multiple myeloma
Objective To explore the application of empowerment theory combined with early warning intervention in chemotherapy patients with multiple myeloma. Methods This prospective randomized controlled test included 100 patients with multiple myeloma admitted to Xinhua Hospital Affiliated Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from May 2022 to April 2023.They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional intervention+early warning in-tervention,and the observation group was treated with conventional intervention+early warning intervention+empowerment theorg intervention, all of which lasted for six months.Self-management ability and adverse event occurrence were compared between the two groups. Results After six months of intervention, the scores of self-management environment,self-management cognition, and self-management behavior in both groups were higher than before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with multiple myeloma chemotherapy, the effect of empowerment theory combined with early warning interven-tion is better, which can improve self-management ability and quality of life, and reduce the occurrence of adverse events.
