Application effect of improved shading blanket in neonatal intensive care unit
Objective To explore application effect of improved shading blanket in neonatal intensive care unit(NICU).Methods A total of 104 premature infants admitted to NICU of Hefei First People's Hospital of Anhui Province from January 2021 to July 2023 were selected as study ob-jects and divided into two groups according to simple random number table method,with 52 cases in each group.Two groups were given routine care,control group was placed in neonatal incubator covered with ordinary shading blanket,and observation group was placed in neonatal incubator covered with improved shading blanket.Noise level in heating chamber,heart rate,transcutaneous oxygen saturation,daily weight gain and family satisfaction between two groups were compared.Results Noise level in heating chamber of observation group was lower than that of control group,heart rate of observation group was slower than that of control group,transcutaneous oxygen saturation of observation group was higher than that of control group,and daily weight gain of observation group was heavier than that of control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in family satisfaction between two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Improved shading blanket covers neonatal warm box,which can effectively control noise and light pollution in NICU warm box,improve heart rate,average daily weight gain and transcuta-neous oxygen saturation,effectively promote growth and development of newborns,and improve family satisfaction.
