Application of Blatchford hierarchical management in patients with acute upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage
Objective To explore the application effect of Blatchford hierarchical management in patients with acute upper gastrointestinal hemor-rhage.Methods A total of 92 patients with acute upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage were selected from Rugao Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Jiangsu Province from January 2020 to January 2023.According to random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 46 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and observation group received Blatchford hierarchical management. The general self-efficacy scale(GSES)score, fecal occult blood test negative time, bowel sound recovery time, hemostasis time, and hospitalization time were compared between two groups before and after intervention;the occurrence of complications was observed. Results After intervention,GSES scores in both groups were higher than before intervention, and those in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).Fecal occult blood test negative time, bowel sound recovery time, hemostasis time, and hospitalization time were shorter than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in observation group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Con-clusion Blatchford hierarchical management can shorten the clinical recovery time of patients with acute upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage, reduce the incidence of complications, and has a good prognosis.
