Application of extracorporeal diaphragm pacemaker combined with inter-mittent training in pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with acute exac-erbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To explore the application value of extracorporeal diaphragm pacemaker combined with intermittent training in pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods A total of 100 patients with AE-COPD who were admitted to the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Outpatient or Emergency,Nanjing First Hospital from January 2019 to February 2022 were included and analyzed. They were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intermittent training intervention, and the experimental group was treated with extracorpore-al diaphragm pacemaker combined with intermittent training.Patients of both groups continued to receive intervention until discharge, and the effect was evaluated at discharge. The diaphragm function and lung function were compared between two groups. Results After the intervention, the di-aphragmatic activity and diaphragmatic thickening fraction of the two groups were higher than before the intervention, and the experimental group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),FEV 1/FVC levels of the two groups were higher than before intervention, and the experimental group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of an extracorporeal diaphragm pacemaker combined with intermittent training to intervene in AECOPD patients can significantly improve diaphragm function, promote lung func-tion recovery.
