Influencing factors of recurrence after ablation in elderly patients with atrial fibrillation
Objective To explore influencing factors of recurrence after ablation in elderly patients with atrial fibrillation. Methods A total of 200 elderly patients with atrial fibrillation underwent ablation in Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as study objects and divided into recurrence group(45 cases)and non-recurrence group(155 cases)according to whether they recurrence again.Influencing factors of recurrence after ablation in elderly patients with atrial fibrillation were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression model. Results There were statistically significant differences in obesity, hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, sleep apnea syndrome, regular use of antiarrhythmic drugs, and left atrial diameter between two groups(P<0.05).Logistic regression anal-ysis results showed that,obesity(OR=6.592,95%CI:2.773-15.671),hypertension(OR=67.982,95%CI:15.051-307.054),diabetes(OR=17.010,95%CI:3.892-74.339),sleep apnea syndrome(OR=7.901,95%CI:2.102-29.703),and irregular use of antiarrhythmic drugs(OR=29.988,95%CI:6.273-143.353)were independent influencing factors for recurrence after ablation in elderly patients with atrial fibrillation(P<0.05).Conclusion Obesity, hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea syndrome, and regular use of antiarrhythmic drugs were influencing factors for recurrence after ablation in elderly patients with atrial fibrillation.
