Current status investigation and influencing factors analysis of discharge preparedness in patients with tuberculosis
Objective To investigate current status and influencing factors of discharge preparedness in patients with tuberculosis. Methods Data of 134 patients with tuberculosis admitted to Huaian No.4 People's Hospital of Jiangsu Province from January 2022 to June 2023 were retrospec-tively analyzed.According to score of discharge readiness scale, they were divided into high discharge readiness group(83 cases)and low discharge readiness group(51 cases).Discharge readiness scale score of high discharge readiness group was ≥ 132 points, and discharge readiness scale score of low discharge readiness group was<132 points.General information, discharge readiness,self-care ability, and quality of extended care were investigated.Single factor and binary logistic regression model were used to analyze influencing factors of discharge readiness in patients with tuberculosis. Results There were statistically significant differences between two groups in combined with other chronic diseases, town of residence, someone to take care of after discharge, convenience to get medical treatment, appraisal of self-care agency(ASA)and care transitions measure(CTM)scores(P<0.05).Results of binary logistic regression model showed that combined with other chronic diseases(OR=6.903,95%CI[3.221,14.797],P=0.002),someone to take care of after discharge(OR=0.212,95%CI[0.098,0.455],P<0.001),ASA score(OR=0.263,95%CI[0.126,0.548],P<0.001),and CTM score(OR=0.257,95%CI[0.122,0.540],P<0.001)were independent influencing factors of discharge readiness in patients with tuberculosis. Conclusion It is necessary to strengthen disease-related education of patients during hospitalization, improve self-care ability of patients, implement continuous care for patients after discharge, and improve discharge readiness of patients with tuberculosis.
