Application effect of Waterlow scale assesses nursing in patients with lumbar disc herniation undergoing resection operation
Objective To explore application effect of Waterlow scale assesses nursing in patients with lumbar disc herniation undergoing resection operation. Methods A total of 118 patients with lumbar disc herniation undergoing resection operation in Operating Room of the First People's Hospital of Huaian City in Jiangsu Province from July 2021 to June 2023 were selected as study objects, and they were divided into two groups ac-cording to random number table method, with 59 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing measures in operating room, and observation group was given Waterlow scale assesses nursing measures in operating room.Operative related indexes, intraoperative complica-tions,and nursing quality between two groups were compared. Results The amount of intraoperative transfusion and intraoperative blood loss in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, operation time and hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, total complication rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, all dimensions scores and total scores of nursing quality in observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Waterlow scale assesses nursing measures in operating room can effectively improve operative related indexes of patients with lumbar disc herniation, reduce incidence rate of intraoperative complications, and improve nursing quality.
