Effects of intervention strategies based on Snyder's hope theory on post-operative psychological status, motor function recovery, and quality of life in patients with femoral neck fractures
Objective To explore the effects of intervention strategies based on Snyder's hope theory on postoperative psychological status, motor function recovery, and quality of life in patients with femoral neck fractures. Methods A total of 100 cases of femoral neck fracture patients admitted to Hefei Second People's Hospital,Anhui Province from January 2021 to October 2023 were selected, and were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received intervention strategies based on Snyder's Hope Theory, intervened for two weeks. The effects of two intervention groups on their psychological state(symptom checklist-90[SCL-90]),motor function(Harris score),and quality of life(the World Health Organization quality of life-BREF[WHOQOL-BREF])before and after intervention were compared between two groups. Results Before intervention, there were no significant differences in SCL-90 score,Harris score, and WHOQOL-BREF score between two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention, the SCL-90 scores of both groups were lower than before intervention, and the observation group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);Harris scores and WHOQOL-BREF dimensions scores were higher than before intervention in both groups, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Intervention strategies based on Snyder's hope theory can effectively improve the psychological state of patients, promote the recovery of motor function, improve their quality of life, and benefit patients.
