Analysis of factors affecting quality of life associated with haemodialysis patients with diabetic end-stage renal disease
Objective To analyze the factors affecting quality of life associated with haemodialysis patients with diabetic end-stage renal disease. Methods This study retrospectively analysed the data of 105 patients with diabetic end-stage renal disease undergoing haemodialysis admitted to Blood Purification Center, the Affiliated Huaian No.1 People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2020 to February 2023.The actual quality of life scores of diabetic patients with end-stage renal disease were counted using the kidney disease quality life short form 1.3(KDQOL-SF1M1.3),and their associated quality of life influencing factors were analysed by multiple linear regression. Results The quality of life of the patients in this study was at a low to moderate level on the KDQOL-SF™1.3 scale. There were significant differences in KDQOL-SF™1.3 scores in patients with diabetic end-stage renal disease undergoing hemodialysis with different age, cost payment method, serum albumin, serum phospho-rus,serum calcium, serum creatinine, estimated glomerular filtration rate, parathyroid hormone,C-reactive protein, adequacy of dialysis, fasting glucose, postprandial 2 h glucose, and glycated haemoglobin levels(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression results show that Age(β=-0.176),serum albumin(β=-0.247),dialysis adequacy(β=-0.160),C-reactive protein(β=0.272),and glycated hemoglobin(β=0.516)were the factors influencing the quality of life of patients with diabetic end-stage renal disease on hemodialysis(P<0.05).Conclusion Age,serum albumin, dialysis adequacy,C-reactive protein, and hemoglobin affect the quality of life of patients with diabetic end-stage renal disease on hemodialysis.
