Application effect of along the hand yangming meridian copper moxibus-tion combined with the eight evil exercises in patients with wind and phlegm blocking collaterals type stroke combined with upper limb hemi-paresis
Objective To explore the application effect of along the hand yangming meridian copper moxibustion combined with the eight evil ex-ercises in patients with wind and phlegm blocking collaterals type stroke combined with upper limb hemiparesis.Methods A total of 60 patients with wind and phlegm blocking collaterals type stroke complicated with upper limb hemiplegia received from the Department of Neurosurgery,Ha-ian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April to December 2023 were selected as the observation objects,and they were numbered in the order of 01-60,with the odd number as the control group and the even number as the intervention group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional traditional Chinese medicine nursing measures of along the hand yangming meridian copper moxibustion,and the intervention group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine nursing measures of along the hand yangming meridian copper moxibustion combined with eight evil exercises,seven days as a course of treatment,and the two groups were treated for four consecutive courses.Before inter-vention and four weeks after intervention,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,motor function,and joint motion were compared between the two groups.Results Before intervention,there was no significant difference in the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms of paralysis,physical insufficiency,and muscle strength between the two groups(P＞0.05).After four weeks of intervention,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms of paralysis,physical deficiency,and muscle strength in the two groups were lower than before intervention,and those in the in-tervention were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before intervention,there was no sig-nificant difference in upper limb function score,lower limb function score,and total limb function score between the two groups(P＞0.05).After four weeks of intervention,the upper limb function score,lower limb function score,and total limb function score of the two groups were higher than before intervention,and those in the intervention were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before intervention,there was no significant difference in mobility of shoulder joint,elbow joint,finger joint,and wrist joint between the two groups(P＞0.05).After four weeks of intervention,the mobility of shoulder joint,elbow joint,finger joint,and wrist joint in two groups were higher than before intervention,and those in the intervention were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The along the hand yangming meridian copper moxibustion combined with the eight evil exercises can improve the tradi-tional Chinese medicine syndrome score of wind and phlegm blocking collaterals type stroke patients with upper limb hemiplegia,promote the reha-bilitation of various functions,and improve the range of joint motion.
