Clinical significance of hsa_circ_0090231 and hsa_circ_0004543 in carotid artery plaques of patients with acute cerebral infarction
Objective To explore clinical significance of hsa_circ_0090231 and hsa_circ_0004543 in carotid artery plaques of patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods Sixty patients with ACI admitted to the First Hospital of Jiaxing City in Zhejiang Province from January to De-cember 2022 were selected as the experimental group.According to prognosis,they were divided into the good prognosis group(39 cases)and the poor prognosis group(21 cases).Fifty healthy examinees underwent physical examinations at the medical examination center of the First Hospital of Jiaxing City in Zhejiang Province were selected as the control group during the same period.The expressions of hsa_circ_0090231 and hsa_circ_0004543 were determined by using real time quantitative polymerase chain reation.The correlation between hsa_circ_0090231,hsa_circ_0004543,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were investigated by using Pearson analysis.Diagnostic efficacy of hsa circ_0090231 and hsa_circ_0004543 in predicting poor prognosis of patients with ACI were evaluated by using receiver operator characteristic(ROC)curve.Results The levels of hsa_circ_0090231,hsa_circ_0004543,and LDL-C in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of hsa_circ_0090231,hsa_circ_0004543,and LDL-C in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression of hsa_circ_0090231 and hsa_circ_0004543 in ACI patients was positively correlated with LDL-C levels(r=0.650,0.726,P<0.001).ROC curve showed that area under the curve of hsa_circ_0090231 was 0.843 75(95%CI:0.736-0.939),with a specifici-ty of 0.875 and a sensitivity of 0.700;area under the curve of hsa_circ_0004543 was 0.968 75(95%CI:0.922-0.996),with a specificity of 0.900 and a sensitivity of 0.950.Conclusion Hsa_circ_0090231 and hsa_circ_0004543 are expressed and activated in ACI patients,and their expression is higher in patients with poor prognosis than in those with good prognosis,and they have certain diagnostic value for poor prognosis in patients.
