Effects of far infrared radiation combined with Huoluo Ointment for ex-ternal application on the autogenous arteriovenous fistula of diabetic nep-hropathy patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis
Objective To analyze the effect of far infrared combined with Huoluo Ointment for external application on autologous arteriovenous fis-tula(AVF)of diabetic nephropathy patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.Methods A total of 72 diabetic nephropathy patients admitted to Wenzhou Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as subjects,they were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,with 36 cases in each group.The control group used far infrared irradiation,the observa-tion group applied far infrared combined with Huoluo Ointment for external application.The AVF blood flow per minute,venous diameter,vascular wall thickness,fistula area,total complication rate,and self-management ability were compared between the two groups before and after interven-tion.Results Before intervention,there was no significant difference in AVF blood flow,internal fistula opening area,venous diameter,and vascular wall thickness between the two groups(P＞0.05).After intervention,AVF blood flow,internal fistula opening area,venous diameter,and vascular wall thickness in both groups were higher than before intervention,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The total complication rate of observation group was lower than that of control group(P＜0.05).Before intervention,there was no signifi-cant difference in symptom recognition,symptom management,symptom prevention and total score between the two groups(P＞0.05).After inter-vention,symptom recognition,symptom management,symptom prevention,and total score in both groups were higher than before intervention,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The far infrared ray combined with Huouluo Ointment for external application can promote the patency of AVF,maintain the unobstructed blood flow,and reduce the occurrence of AVF com-plications.Through the intervention of this method,the self-management ability of AVF patients is improved,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
