Mediating effect of psychological resilience between self-management ability and discharge readiness in patients with early gastrointestinal can-cer after endoscopic submucosal dissection
Objective To explore mediating effect of psychological resilience between self-management ability and discharge readiness in patients with early gastrointestinal cancer after endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD).Methods A convenience sampling method was used to select 326 patients with early gastrointestinal cancer received ESD at the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University from January 2020 to April 2023 as study subjects. The general information,Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)score,readiness for discharge scale(RHDS)score, and exercise self-care agency scale(ESCA)score of the study participants were investigated;Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation among scales;the mediating effect of psychological resilience between self-management ability and discharge readiness in patients with early gastrointestinal cancer after ESD was analyzed. Results CD-RISC total score was(61.47±7.39)score,RHDS total score was(88.52±8.75)score,and ESCA total score was(97.32±11.82)score in patients with early gastrointestinal cancer after ESD.CD-RISC score was positively correlated with RHDS and ESCA scores, and RHDS score was positively correlated with ESCA score(r>0,P<0.05).The indirect effect of psycho-logical resilience on self-management ability and discharge readiness of patients with early gastrointestinal cancer after ESD was 0.24,accounting for 42.11%.Conclusion Psychological resilience plays a partial mediating role between self-management ability and discharge readiness of patients with early gastrointestinal cancer after ESD.Nursing staff should take active measures to improve patients'self-management ability,pro-mote physical and mental health, and enhance mental toughness.
