Application effect of du-moxibustion therapy combined with early pul-monary rehabilitation training in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To investigate the application effect of du-moxibustion therapy combined with early pulmonary rehabilitation training in pa-tients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods A total of 176 AECOPD patients treated at Jieshou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from May 2021 to April 2023 were selected.According to random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group, with 88 cases in each group. The control group received early pulmonary rehabilitation training, while the study group received du-moxibustion therapy on the basis of control group. The intervention time of both groups was three months.Pulmonary function indices, the modified British Medical Research Council respiratory distress scale(mMRC)score, the COPD patient self-assessment test question-naire(CAT)score,the multidimensional fatigue inventory(MFI)score, and the World Health Organization quality of Life-BREF(WHO-QOL-BREF)scores in the two groups before and after the intervention were compared. Results After intervention, forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),and FEV1/FVC of the two groups were higher than those before intervention, and the study group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,CAT scores of both groups were lower than before intervention, and the study group was lower than the control group;and the mMRC rating of the two groups was better than before interven-tion,and the study group was better than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,MFI scores of the two groups were lower than before intervention, and the study group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).One month after discharge, the WHOQOL-BREF scores of the two groups were higher than before intervention, and the study group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Du-moxibustion therapy combined with early pulmonary rehabilitation training effectively improves lung function, alleviates symptoms of respiratory difficulty and fatigue, and enhances quality of life in patients with AECOPD.
