Effect of Scorzonera Herpes Zoster Ointment combined with Pregabalin in the treatment of post-herpetic neuralgia
Objective To study the effect of Scorzonera Herpes Zoster Ointment combined with Pregabalin in the treatment of post-herpetic neuralgia.Methods A total of 60 patients with post-herpetic neuralgia in the Department of Dermatology,Logistic Support Forces of the Chinese People's Liberation Army No.988 Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given Pregabalin Capsules oral,and the observation group was treated with Scorzonera Herpes Zoster Ointment at ashi point application for four weeks.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared.The short-form McGill pain questionnaire(SF-MPQ)scores,Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)scores,Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)scores,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scores,and inflammatory factor levels of the two groups were compared before and after treatment.Results After four weeks of treatment,the clinical effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The overall analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in visual analogue scale(VAS),pain rating index(PRI),present pain intensity(PPI)scores between groups,time point comparison,and interaction(P＜0.05).Intra-group comparison:after two and four weeks of treatment,VAS,PRI,and PPI scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment,and those after four weeks of treatment were lower than those after two weeks of treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Comparison between groups:the VAS,PRI,and PPI scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after two and four weeks of treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The overall analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in HAMD,HAMA,and PSQI scores between groups,time point comparison,and interac-tion(P＜0.05).Intra-group comparison:after two and four weeks of treatment,HAMD,HAMA,and PSQI scores of the two groups were lower than be-fore treatment,and those after four weeks of treatment were lower than those after two weeks of treatment,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(P＜0.05).Comparison between groups:HAMD,HAMA,and PSQI scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after two and four weeks of treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The overall analysis showed that there were signif-icant differences between the two groups in the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)between groups,time point comparison,and interaction(P＜0.05).Intra-group comparison:after two and four weeks of treatment,the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in two groups were lower than before treatment,and those after four weeks of treatment were lower than those after two weeks of treatment,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Comparison between groups:the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in observation group were lower than those in control group after two and four weeks of treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The Scorzonera Her-pes Zoster Ointment at ashi point application combined with Pregabalin Capsules can effectively relieve the pain symptoms of post-herpetic neural-gia,improve the symptoms of anxiety and depression,improve the quality of sleep,and reduce the expression of serum inflammatory factors.
