Research progress of relationship between human cytomegalovirus and colorectal cancer
Human cytomegalovirus(HCMV)is a universal human pathogenic herpes virus in the world, which can affect the development of tumor through cell transformation, immune escape, tumor regulation and other mechanisms.Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a malignant tumor with high mor-bidity and mortality worldwide. Many studies have identified important role of viral infection in occurrence and development of CRC.HCMV pro-motes tumor development by affecting cell cycle, cell proliferation and migration;HCMV may inhibit tumor transformation and growth under specific conditions. The aim of this paper is to deeply analyze two-sided relationship between HCMV and CRC and its regulatory mechanisms,to provide a new vision for cancer research and to explore new avenues for prevention and treatment of CRC.
