Research progress on traditional Chinese medicine intervention in the treatment of psoriasis with NLRP3 inflammasome
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease with a long course,complex pathogenesis,and easy recurrence,it is a difficult skin disease that urgently needs to be solved in clinical practice.With the in-depth study of traditional Chinese medicine on psoriasis,it is of great significance to carry out research on the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of psoriasis from the perspective of NLRP3 inflammasome,which can improve the accuracy and diversity of psoriasis treatment,and reduce the side effects of drugs.The effective components of traditional Chinese medicine,such as flavonoids,terpenoids,phenols,and other compounds,as well as traditional Chinese medicine compounds,can effectively inhibit the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome by interfering with it,inhibit the activation of cystenine aspartic acid specific protease-1 and the maturation and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines,induce autophagy,regulate pyroptosis,and inhibit the abnormal proliferation of keratinocytes,reduce the inflammatory response in psoriatic lesions,and thereby improve the pathological changes of psoriasis.This article reviews the research progress in the regulation of NLRP3 inflammasomes by traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of psoriasis in recent years,with a focus on the inhibitory effects and related mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine monomers and compound formulas on the activation of NLRP3 inflammasomes.It also explores the clinical application and prospects of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of psoriasis,aiming to provide new ideas and methods for the in-depth research and application development of traditional Chinese medicine regulation of NLRP3 inflammasomes in the treatment of psoriasis.
