Research progress on diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine of post-infectious cough
Post-infectious cough is a very common disease in daily life,and the pathogenesis is currently unclear,making treatment difficult.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the main cause of the disease is wind evil,which invades the lung and causes the loss of lung qi and the stagnation of body fluid,resulting in coughing.Western medicine believes that it is related to increased airway hyperresponsiveness.Virus infection damages respiratory epithelial cells,causing airway inflammation and immune response,leading to increased cough reflex sensitivity.This article summarizes the etiology,pathogenesis,diagnosis and treatment status of post-infectious cough from the perspectives of traditional Chinese and western medicine.Starting from multiple aspects,it strives to find safer and more effective treatment plans,in order to improve quality of life and prognosis of patients.
