Research progress on the prevention and treatment of intestinal adhesion by regulating nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathway mediated inflammatory response in traditional Chinese medicine
Intestinal adhesion is one of the common complication after abdominal surgery, and nuclear factor κB(NF-κB)signaling pathway is closely related to occurrence and development of intestinal adhesion.Traditional Chinese medicine has gradually become a new target in the field of preventing and treating intestinal adhesion by regulating NF-κB signaling pathway for anti-inflammatory effect.Long term clinical research and practice,as well as related studies on traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology, have shown that traditional Chinese medicine can regulate the expression of inflammatory cytokines by mediating inflammatory pathway, and play an important role in preventing and treating multiple pathological links of intestinal adhesion. This article reviews relevant literature in the past five years, systematically analyzes, and summarizes pharmacological mechanisms and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine that exert anti-inflammatory effects through the NF-κB signaling pathway to prevent adhesion, with a view to providing more references for in-depth research on the application of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of postoperative intestinal adhesion in the abdomen.
