Evaluation of inpatient medical service performance based on disease diagnosis related group in 28 tertiary comprehensive hospitals in Shanxi Province
Objective To compare the differences between disease diagnosis related group(DRG)indicators and traditional inpatient indicators in evaluation of inpatient medical service performance,and to provide certain application value for comprehensive evaluation between hospitals.Methods The first page data of inpatient medical records from 28 tertiary comprehensive hospitals in Shanxi Province from January to December 2023 were collected through the Shanxi Provincial Medical Service Evaluation Platform.The comprehensive index method was used to analyze the evaluation of inpatient medical service performance differences between DRG indicators and traditional indicators of medical service capacity,medical service efficiency,and medical service quality.Results The results of the evaluation of inpatient medical service performance with traditional indicators show that hospital 4 composite index ranked the first,with 6.44;the highest comprehensive index of medical service capacity was hospital 3,with 3.44;the highest comprehensive index of medical service efficiency was hospital 25,with 1.85;and the highest composite index of medical service quality was hospitals 16,with 4.33.The results of the evaluation of inpatient medical service performance with DRG indicators showed that the comprehensive index of hospital 1 ranked the first,with 4.68;the highest comprehensive index of medical service capacity was hospital 1,with 2.79;the highest comprehensive index of medical service efficiency was hospitals 4 and 6,with 1.43;and the comprehensive index of medical service quality of 21 hospital was 1.00.Conclusion Traditional indicators and DRG indicators were used to evaluate the medical service performance of 28 tertiary comprehensive hospitals,and the results were different.Each hospital had some problems in terms of medical service capacity,medical service efficiency,and medical service quality to varying degrees.Compared with traditional indicators,DRG indicators can objectively and accurately evaluate the level of inpatient medical services of hospital,which helps to refine hospital management.
