Visual analysis of research status and hotspot of Baohe Pills based on CiteSpace
Objective To conduct visual analysis of research status and hotspots of Baohe Pills by using CiteSpace.Methods Literatures related to Baohe Pills were retrieved from CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data,China Biomedical Literature Database,and PubMed from inception to December 2023.CiteSpace software was used to analyze visual knowledge graph of literature authors,institutions,key words,and other information.Results A total of 1 029 articles were included,the overall number of publications showed an increasing trend.One of core authors,Hehua had published the most articles,and research institutions were mainly Changchun University of Chinese Medicine and Henan University of Chinese Medicine.Co-occurrence analysis of key words showed that research hotspots of Baohe Pills were Chinese patent drug,experience of famous doctor,Chinese medicine treatment,clinical observation,and hesperidin.The dominant diseases were dyspepsia,food retention,and constipation,etc.The patient population was mainly children.Cluster analysis of key words showed that research structure of Baohe Pills were research and development of Chinese patent drug,experience of famous doctor,Chinese medicine treatment,pediatric applications,digestive system diseases,and combination of traditional Chinese medicine formulas.Time linear graph analysis of key words showed:from 1957 to 1987,the research on Baohe Pills was mainly based on clinical experience;from 1988 to 2007,the research focused on Chinese patent drug research,basic experiments,and conbined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine;from 2008 to 2023,the literature on Baohe Pills tends to focus on research such as data mining.Emergence analysis of key words showed that research hotspots of Baohe Pills were clinical research,animal experiments,and data mining.Conclusion Baohe Pills have been clinically applied in digestive system diseases and other related fields,and elucidating its therapeutic mechanism from the perspective of gut microbiota is a hot research topic in this field.
