Research hotspots and development trends of Panax notoginseng saponins based on VOS viewer and CiteSpace
Objective To analyze relevant research literature of Panax notoginseng saponins,grasp its development history,research hotspots,and development trends.Methods All Chineses literatures and English literatures related to Panax noto-ginseng saponins in CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data,Chinese Biomedical Literature,and Web of Science core collection database from inception to April 2024 were retrieved.Publication volume,journal sources,authors,research institutions,and key-words were analyzed by using VOSviewer 1.6.20,CiteSpace 6.3.R1,Pajek 64 5.18,and NoteExpress 3.8.Results Finally,2 010 Chinese literatures were included,of which 1 703 were journal papers,307 were degree papers,and 280 were English literatures.Overall annual publication volume showed a fluctuating upward trend.Chinese literature was mainly published in Chinese Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Chinese Journal of Experimental Formula Studies,Chinese Herbal Medicine,etc.English literature was mainly published in Acta Pharmacologic a Sinica,Journal of Ethnopharmacology,etc.There were a total of 4 410 Chinese literature authors and 1 476 English literature authors.Deng Changqing and ZHANG W had the highest number of publications in both Chinese and English,respectively.Beijing University of Chinese Medicine ranked first in both Chinese and English publications,collabo-rated with multiple institutions to form a cross regional and in-fluential scientific research academic group.The analysis of key words in Chinese literature and English literature showed that apoptosis,oxidative stress,cerebral hemorrhage,and reperfusion injury were the popular directions for Panax notoginseng sap-onins.Conclusion The research content of Panax notoginseng saponins is extensive and belongs to a popular focus of attention in the discipline.Many scholars are still deeply exploring its value and mechanism of action in treating diseases.The molec-ular mechanism mainly focuses on the pathways of apoptosis and oxidative stress.The treatment of cerebral hemorrhage and reperfusion injury is currently a hot research topic.
