Frailty status and influencing factors analysis of rural areas elderly in Xinjiang
Objective To explore the frailty status and influencing factors of rural areas elderly in Xinjiang.Methods From July to September 2023,elderly people aged 60 years and above from 13 villages in southern and northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were selected as the research objects by multi-stage stratified cluster sampling.Questionnaires were used to collect the frailty status,general demographic characteristics,physical health status,mental health status,and social support status of the subjects.Body measurements were used to collect the physical function status of the subjects.Rank sum test,chi-square test,and multivariate binary logistic regression were used to analyze the influencing factors of frailty in the rural areas elderly in Xinjiang.Results A total of 1 018 valid questionnaires were collected,with an effective recovery rate of 94.7%.The prevalence of frailty was 25.0%,and the frail score was 2.00(1.00,2.25)points.The results of binary logistic regression analysis showed that region(Southern Xinjiang),social support status(low level),vision(descend),oral health status(score high),anxiety status(severe)and physical function status(medium,poor)were the influencing factors of frailty in the rural elderly in Xinjiang(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of frailty of the elderly in rural areas of Xinjiang is high,and there are regional differences,and it is closely related to physical health,mental health,social support and physical function.
