Effect of Piwei Peiyuan Decoction on clinical efficacy,serum interferon-γ,and tumor specific growth factor expression in chronic atrophic gastritis patients with spleen and stomach weakness type
Objective To explore the effcet of Piwei Peiyuan Decoction on clinical efficacy,serum interferon-γ and tumor specific growth factor(TSGF)expression in chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)patients with spleen and stomach weakness type.Methods A total of 64 CAG patients with spleen and stomach weakness type admitted to Department of Spleen and Stomach Diseases of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected,and they were divided into the two groups by using a random number table method,with 32 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral Weifuchun Tablets,while the observation group was treated with Piwei Peiyuan Decoction for a course of 12 weeks.Clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores,gastroscopy and pathology scores,gastric function indicators,interferon-γ,and TSGF levels between the two groups were compared.Results Clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine various symptoms in the two groups were lower than before treatment,and the scores of epigastric distension,epigastric pain,nausea and postprandial epigastric tightness in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the gastroscopy and pathology scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment,and the gastroscopy scores and intestinal metaplasia,chronic inflammation,and activity scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of gastrin 17(G-17),pepsinogen(PG)Ⅰ,PG Ⅱ,and PG Ⅰ to PG Ⅱ ratio(PGR)in the two groups were higher than before treatment,and the levels of G-17,PG Ⅰ,and PGR in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of interferon-γ and TSGF in the two groups were lower than before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Piwei Peiyuan Decoction can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms of CAG patients with spleen and stomach weakness type,repair mucosal damage,improve inflammatory environment,and help patients recover their health.It is worth promoting and applying.
