Discussion on medication rule of national traditional Chinese medicine compound prescription patent in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy
Objective To explore the compound prescription rule of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of dia-betic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)based on the patent database of the National Intellectual Property Office.Methods The compound prescription patent data of traditional Chinese medicine for DPN that met the inclusion criteria were collected from the inception to December 2023.The software of R language(v 4.3.2),Cytoscape(Version 3.10.1),and other software were applied to carry out statistical analysis on the data.Data modeling,drug frequency analysis,nature and flavour,channel tropism analysis,cluster analysis,association rule analysis,and data visualization were used to explore the formula composi-tion rule of DPN.Results A total of 113 DPN patent data conforming to the standard were included in this study,involving 249 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines,and the cumulative frequency of drugs was 1 145 times.The top ten most fre-quently used Chinese medicines were Astragali Radix,Angelicae Sinensis Radix,Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma,Chuanxiong Rhizoma,Cinnamomi Ramulus,Spatholobi Caulis,Paeoniae Radix Rubra,Paeoniae Radix Alba,Rehmanniae Radix,and Carthami Flos.The drug natures of traditional Chinese medicine were mainly warm,plain,and cold,and the drug flavours were common to sweet,bitter,and pungent,which mostly return to the liver and kidney channels.A total of two drug combinations were obtained by cluster analysis,and four groups of binomial common couplet medicines and 32 groups of three associated drug combinations were screened by associa-tion rule analysis.The commonly used couplet medicines were Spatholobi Caulis-Astragali Radix,Corydallis Rhizoma-Astra-gali Radix,Cinnamomi Ramulus-Astragali Radix,and Persicae Semen-Astragali Radix.Commonly used horn medicine combinations were Astragali Radix-Corydalis Rhizoma-Spatholobi Caulis and Angelicae Sinensis Radix-Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix-Chuanxiong Rhizoma.Traditional Chinese medicine co-occurrence network showed that the important nodes were Astragali Radix,Angelicae Sinensis Radix,Salviae Miltior-rhizae Radix Et Rhizoma,Cinnamomi Ramulus,Chuanxiong Rhizoma,Spatholobi Caulis,Paeoniae Radix Rubra,and so on.Conclusion The traditional Chinese medicine compound prescription patent for the treatment of DPN uses Astragali Radix concerted application with A ngelicae Sinensis Radix,Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma,Chuanxiong Rhi-zoma,Spatholobi Caulis,Paeoniae Radix Rubra,Carthami Flos,Cyathulae Radix,and other blood activating drugs to in-vigorate qi,promote blood circulation and dredge collaterals,and uses rattan and worm drugs to dredge collaterals and re-move pathogenic factors,which can expand ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment of DPN.
