Based on successful management of other chronic diseases,treat-to-target is considered an effective strategy in the treatment of axial spondyloarthritis.Realize treat-to-target can help improve patients'quality of life,improve clinical symptoms and signs,delay radiological progression,reduce complications and guide clinical medication.In clinical practice,treat-to-target has problems such as increasing economic and time cost burden on patients,excessive medical risks,defining target values,and whether it reflects overall situation of patients comprehensively.Therefore,it is debatable how to correctly apply treat-to-target strategies in clinical diagnosis and treatment.This article mainly analyzes advantages and dilemma of treat-to-target strategies applied in axial spondyloarthritis,and to provide reference for clinical decision-making.
