Current situation and latent profile analysis of personal mastery among intern nursing students
Objective To understand current situation of personal mastery among intern nursing students, and explore its latent profile and the influencing factors. Methods Convenience sampling method was used to select 517 intern nursing students in three tertiary hospitals of Yunnan Cancer Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University and Yan'an Hospital of Kunming as research subjects from July to September 2023.General information survey form and personal control scale were used for investigation.Latent profile analysis was applied in current status of personal control among intern nursing students.Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of latent profile of personal control among intern nursing students. Results The personal control score of intern nursing students was(21.11±3.84)points.Latent profile analysis showed that there were two potential profiles for personal control, named the strong control group(65.0%)and the weak control group(35.0%).There were statistically significant differences in education level, clinical internship experience, monthly family income, sleep status, exercise frequency and awareness of death education between the weak control group and the strong control group(P<0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that clinical internship experience, sleep status and exercise frequency were the influencing factors on latent profile of personal control among intern nursing students(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a significant heterogeneity in personal control level of intern nursing students.Nursing managers should provide personalized and precise interventions based on classification characteristics of different latent profiles when conducting training,in order to enhance personal control of intern nursing students and maintain their physical and mental health.
