Analysis of influencing factors on maternal discharge readiness based on random forest model
Objective To explore the influencing factors of maternal discharge readiness based on random forest model and provide theoretical basis for clinical improvement of discharge readiness. Methods Convenience sampling method was used to selecte 418 cases of maternal hospitalized in Department of Obstetrics of General Hospital,Ningxia Medical University and Yinchuan Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March to July 2022 as study subjects.General information questionnaire for maternal, maternal discharge readiness scale, and family function assessment scale were used for the survey.Spearman correlation analysis was used to investigate correlation between maternal discharge readiness and family function.Multiple linear regression and random forest model were used to analyze the influencing factors of maternal discharge readiness. Results Total score of maternal discharge readiness scale was 133.00(116.00,148.00)points,and total score of family function assessment scale was 129.00(119.00,137.00)points.There were significant differences in total scores of maternal discharge readiness scale among different family income, marriage age, hospitalization time, number of pregnancies, parity, delivery model, feeding method, and attend maternal schools or courses(P<0.05).Except for personal condition, disease knowledge, and coping ability after discharge, which were not related to emotional reactions, maternal discharge readiness scale score and each dimension score were negatively correlated with family function assessment scale score and other dimensions scores(P<0.01).Hospitalization time, parity, delivery model, feeding method, attend maternal schools or courses, and total score of family function assessment scal e could explain 22.9%of variation in discharge readiness. The importance of factors affecting random forest model was ranked from high to low as follows:total score of family function rating scale, parity, feeding method, attend maternal schools or courses, hospitalization time and delivery model. Conclusion Maternal discharge readiness is in the middle to upper level. In clinical practice, family function assessment should be incorporated into discharge preparation education, and develop a plan suitable for family needs to improve discharge readiness.
