Application effect of fertility information support for childbearing period women with thyroid cancer
Objective To evaluate the application effect of demand-oriented fertility information support for childbearing period women with thyroid cancer.Methods A total of 72 childbearing period women with thyroid cancer patients with fertility desire admitted in Department of General Surgery,Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January to June 2023 were selected as the control group and 72 childbearing period women with thyroid cancer patients with fertility desire from July to December 2023 were selected as the experimental group.The control group was given routine health education,and the experimental group received fertility information support on the basis of the control group,intervention for three weeks.The reproductive concerns after cancer scale(RCAC)score,fertility knowledge questionnaire score,and satisfaction score were compared between the two groups.Results A total of 35 patients in the control group and 34 patients in the experimental group completed the study.After intervention,the scores of own health,children's health,spouse knowledge,fertility ability,pregnancy preparation,and total score in the experimental group were lower than before intervention,and the scores of own health,children's health,fertility ability,pregnancy preparation,and total score in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the fertility knowledge questionnaire scores of the two groups were higher than before intervention,and the experimental group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction score in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Fertility information support for childbearing period women with thyroid cancer can reduce their fertility worries and improve their fertility knowledge and satisfaction.
