Practice exploration and effectiveness evaluation of management model of National Natural Science Foundation of China in a hospital in Tianjin
Objective To analyze the situation of National Natural Science Foundation of China in Tianjin Medical Univer-sity General Hospital,and evaluate the effectiveness of practical exploration of National Natural Science Foundation of China management model.Methods Application and approval of projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China in Tianjin Medical University General Hospital from March 2019 to March 2024 were selected.Starting from April 2022,the management of improving the system of scientific and technological talents,strengthening the cultivation and guidance,en-hancing project support and creating scientific research ecosystem was implemented.The number of National Natural Sci-ence Foundation of China applications,approved projects and bid winning rates before and after management were com-pared.The effectiveness of management model was evaluated.Results In 2023,Tianjin Medical University General Hospital was approved for 44 National Natural Science Foundation of China,an increase of 22.22%compared to 2022;31 National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Foundation were approved,an increase of 138.50%compared to 2022;the success rate of National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Foundation was 15.66%,an increase of 133.70%compared to 2022.Compared to 2023,there would be 425 applications for National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2024,an increase of 75,with a growth rate of 21.43%.Among them,there were 213 general projects,an increase of 74,with a growth rate of 53.24%.In the past five years.National Natural Science Foundation of China approved projects in Tianjin Medical University General Hospital distributed across 34 departments,included 18 neurosurgery,17 neurology and 17 neurological institute.The approved projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Fund in Tianjing Medical University General Hospital were distributed in 31 departments,and there was inconsistency in the number of approved projects between each department and National Natural Science Foundation of China.Conclusion The current fund management model is conducive to improving the level of National Natural Science Foundation of China in hospitals,especially for the cultivation of young scientific and technological talents.In the future,it is necessary to focus on downward departments and precise services,achieving targeted management;further strengthen the training of new employees and promote the growth of reserve talents;implement process management of scientific research projects and make good use of"previous bucket of gold"and other aspects.
