Study on influencing factor of continuous patient-doctor interpersonal information in third-tier public hospitals
Objective To understand the current situation and attitudes of clinical doctors in third-tier public hospitals towards maintaining continuous patient-doctor interpersonal information,and to identify the influencing factors,in order to provide suggestions for improving healthcare service continuity and enhancing patients'disease management ability.Methods A phenomenological research method was used,12 clinical doctors from a third-level public hospital in Wuhan,Hubei Province were selected for semi-structured in-depth interviews from March to April 2024.Following the steps of grounded theory research method,the data were coded and analyzed.Results Four core categories related to continuous patient-doctor interpersonal information were identified and discussed,including doctor-related factors,patient-related factors,functional factors,and platform factors.Conclusion It is recommended to enhance the human resource allocation and incentive mechanism for clinical doctors in third-tier public hospitals,to establish convenient,secure,and intelligent mobile platforms,and to improve the service continuity between upper and lowertiers of healthcare organizations.
