Research progress on the pathogenesis of ICC axis and JAK inhibitors in vitiligo
Vitiligo is a prevalent acquired depigmentation disorder characterized by the destruction of melanocytes, resulting in the manifestation of white patches. At present, there is no consistent,long-term and long-lasting treatment method for vitiligo.JAK inhibitors are considered one of potential methods in the treatment of vitiligo, which regulate immune responses, promote melanocyte regeneration and migration, improve the condition of vitiligo patients'skin lesions by inhibiting JAK-signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling pathway.Clinical trials have confirmed the effec-tiveness and safety of JAK inhibitors in treating vitiligo. However, their long-term efficacy and potential adverse reactions still need further research and exploration.JAK inhibitors provide new methods and directions for the treatment of vitiligo. This article reviews research progress of JAK inhibitors in the treatment of vitiligo, including mechanisms of action, clinical application and efficacy evaluation, for clinical reference.
