Analysis on the medication rules of Professor Yu Xiaoping for treating chronic cough with cream formula based on data mining
Objective To summarize the medication rules of Professor Yu Xiaoping in the treatment of chronic cough with cream formula.Methods The cream formula of Professor Yu Xiaoping's outpatients with chronic cough in Shuguang Hospi-tal Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2018 to February 2024 were collected and recorded into the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computer System V 3.5.Statistical analysis of syndromes,drug frequency,efficacy,nature,and flavour,meridian tropism,drug association rules analysis and cluster analysis were carried out.Results A total of 365 cream formula were included.Syndromes were deficiency and excess complex,and mainly included syndrome of dual deficiency of the lung and kidney,syndrome of lung and spleen qi deficiency and syn-drome of phlegm and heat obstructing the lung.A total of 259 kinds of herbs were involved,most of which were tonic herbs,heat-clearing herbs,and resolving phlegm to stop cough and relieve panting herbs.Therapeutic methods were application of both warming and clearing therapies,dispersing with pungent medicinals and descending with bitter medicinals and tonify deficiency with sweet flavor.The main meridian tropisms were lung,liver,spleen,stomach,kidney and heart.A core medicine combination consisting of Astragali Radix,Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata,Ophiopogonis Radix,Corni Fructus,Dioscoreae Rhizoma,Coptidis Rhizoma,Evodiae Fructus,Asparagi Radix,Arcae Concha,Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix Et Rhi-zoma,Epimedii Folium,Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium,Scutellariae Radix,Pinelliae Rhizoma,Bupleuri Radix,and Curcumae Radix and a characteristic medicine combination consisting of 21 herbs were obtained by association analysis.Four groups of auxiliary materials were obtained by cluster analysis.Conclusion Professor Yu Xiaoping s cream formula for the treatment of chronic cough focus on eliminating pathogenic factors and reinforcing healthy qi,integrating multiple therapeutic methods including tonifying,clearing heat,re-solving phlegm,relieving cough,dispelling wind,resolving stasis,unblocking collaterals,resolving dampness and regulating qi.The cream formula focus on regulating qi,resolving stasis and unblocking collaterals,enriching the spleen,and stomach.
