Research progress on signaling pathways related to cellular autophagy and inflammatory response after spinal cord injury
Spinal cord injury(SCI)is a severe disabling lesion caused by various factors that damage structure and function of spinal cord.Various inflammatory cells and related signaling pathways are activated after SCI,forming a complex inflammatory microenvironment at the site of injury, which affects repair of SCI.Cellular autophagy is an important regulatory mechanism for maintaining cellular homeostasis in eukaryotic cells.By regulating autophagy, the balance of inflammatory response can be maintained, and inflammation can also counteract autophagy, playing an important role in pathological and physiological processes of SCI.In recent years, the mechanisms of autophagy and inflammation in diseases have received much attention.Clarifying chain relationship between"SCI-signaling pathway-cellular autophagy and inflammation"is beneficial to grasp dynamic pathological changes after SCI and find ways to improve SCI.This article reviews relevant signaling pathways of cell autophagy and inflammatory response after SCI both domestically and internationally, and using them as targets may provide new ideas for treatment of SCI.
