Exploration on the correlation between pharyngeal and palmoplantar pustulosis based on the theory of lung-gut-skin axis
Palmoplantar pustulosis is one of clinically refractory skin diseases affecting human life, health and quality of life at present. Its etiology and pathogenesis are complex. With the deepening of research, clinical progress of palmoplantar pustulosis caused and aggravated by pathological changes of pharynx cannot be ignored.Lung-gut-skin axis is interaction pathway between lung-intestine and skin, which also provides a new perspective for interpretation of the theory of"lung-fur and inner intestine"in Chinese medicine. As an important barrier involved in immunity, pharynx affects occurrence and development of palmoplantar pustulosis through multiple pathways of lung-gut-skin axis, forming a complex network mechanism. This article explores correlation between pathological changes in pharynx and the pathogenesis of palmoplantar pustulosis based on lung-gut-skin axis theory,in order to provide more novel and reliable ideas for clinical treatment.
