Application effect of ultrasound-guided combined with top pressure method in nasoenteric tube placement in critically ill patients
Objective To investigate the application of ultrasound-guided combined with top pressure method in nasoenteric tube placement in critically ill patients. Methods A total of 60 patients who needed indwelling nasoenteric tubes were selected from January to June 2023 in the Department of Critical Care Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University as the research subjects, and they were randomly divided into control group and experimental group using a lottery method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was placed nasoenteric tube under conventional ultrasound guidance, and the experimental group was modified on the basis of conventional ultrasound-guided nasoenteric tube placement. The differences in success rate, duration of catheterization, changes in vital signs, and incidence of complications were observed between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the success rate of catheterization between the two groups(P>0.05).The duration of indwelling tube in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the fluctuation of heart rate and respiration of vital signs in the experimental group was less than that in the control group(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in pulse pressure and oxygen saturation between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the complications of catheterization between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided combined with top pressure method is safe and feasible in the process of nasoenteric tube placement in critically ill patients, which can reduce nurses'operation time and improve patient comfort, which is worthy of clinical application.
