Pharmaceutical Care of A Diabetic Patient with Complicated Skin and Soft Tissue Infection
Objective To explore the significance of pharmacy care in a young female patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)combined with complicated skin and soft tissue infections(cSSTI).Methods Clinical pharmacists participate in the whole process of patient diagnosis and treatment activities,carry out pharmaceutical ward rounds,evaluate patients'conditions and medication status,assist doctors in formulating drug treatment plans and adjusting medication in time,and implement pharmaceutical monitoring to deal with adverse reactions.Results The infection was effectively controlled,and complications and blood sugar returned to normal.Conclusion By participating in clinical treatment practice,clinical pharmacists assist doctors in formulating drug treatment plans and implementing pharmaceutical monitoring,which is conducive to improving the drug efficacy and drug safety of diabetic patients with complex skin and soft tissue infections.
