Objective To explore the effect of whole process closed-loop management on medical quality and safety in day surgery wards.Methods The day surgery ward of the hospital began to implement the whole process closed-loop management from January 2022,and the same group of medical staff provided services before and after the implementation.Patients with day surgery admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to December 2021(n=154)before the implementation and from January 2022 to December 2022(n=172)after the implementation were selected.The data related to medical quality,perioperative management score,patient satisfaction score and incidence of adverse events at each process node were compared before and after implementation.Results After the whole process closed-loop management,the data related to medical quality at each process node were better than before.The perioperative management score and patient satisfaction score were higher than those before implementation,and the incidence of adverse events was lower than that before implementation(p＜0.05).Conclusion The whole process closed-loop management can effectively improve the medical quality of day surgery ward,ensure the safety of surgery,and promote the high-quality,healthy and sustainable development of day surgery.
