Objective To explore the changes in the effectiveness of hospital medical services triggered by the DRG payment method in the pilot implementation process,so as to prompt hospitals to pay more attention to cost control, take the initiative in controlling fees, and promote the development of health insurance payment method reform. Methods A database was set up in Excel, and SPSS 24.0 software and t-test were used for data analysis to compare and analyze the differences in data before and after the implementation of the DRG payment method in the sample hospitals from the three dimensions of healthcare service capacity, healthcare service efficiency, and healthcare service quality. Results The efficiency of medical services and service capacity of hospitals have significantly improved after the implementation of the DRG payment method, but there is still a need to strengthen the management of medical quality. This is manifested in the reduction of time consumption index, increasing number of DRG groups, wider range of medical services, and significant improvement of CMI,but there is no significant change in the cost consumption index and the mortality rate of low and medium risk groups. Conclusion It is recommended to strengthen the standardized management of diagnostic and treatment behaviors and improve the clinical pathway,as well as to strengthen the quality management of the first page of medical record and improve the incentive and assessment mechanism.
