Objective To explore the application of the structure-process-outcome(SPO)model in the pharmacy intravenous admixture services(PIVAS)infusion safety management system.Methods Based on the SPO model and combined with the healthcare failure mode and effect analysis(HFMEA),the PIVAS infusion safety system was studied,effective preventive measures were formulated and implemented,and the data before and after improvement were analyzed.Results The safety of intravenous infusions in PIVAS has been improved,and the error rate has decreased significantly.Conclusion The construction of PIVAS infusion safety management system based on SPO model can reduce the failure rate in the safety management of PIVAS infusion and ensure the safety of intravenous infusion for children.
