Objective To analyze the hospitalization expenses of non-critical adult community-acquired pneumonia(CAP)patients in a municipal hospital in 2022,explore its influencing factors, and provide theoretical reference for management. Methods Information on patients hospitalized for this condition in the department of respiratory medicine was screened out.Descriptive statistics, spearman correlation analysis,two-group Mann-Whitney U test,multi-group Kruskal Wallis H test,Jonckheere Terpstra test, and multivariate linear stepwise regression were used to explain the expenses and influencing factors. Results The hospitalization expenses were affected by age, type of medical insurance, clinical pathway management, length of stay, number of concomitant diseases, proportion of examination expenses, and proportion of nursing expenses. The proportion of nursing expenses has the largest impact, while the proportion of examination expenses was the highest(45.64%).Conclusion Hospitals should strengthen disease management, optimize the cost structure, and deepen the medical insurance payment reform.Departments should also further emphasize the value of medical services, leverage clinical pathways and other management tools to improve medical quality, strengthen the assessment of disease severity and early prevention.
