Objective To evaluate the effect of PDCA on improving the reporting rate of adverse events of medical quality and safety,so as to promote the goal of quality and safety improvement.Methods A quality improvement team was formed,and the fishbone diagram was used to explore the factors affecting the reporting of adverse events.The Pareto diagram was used to find out the factors affecting the reporting rate of adverse events of medical quality and safety,and the factors were analyzed one by one to formulate countermeasures.Results Through the rectification,the number of annual reports of adverse events in the hospital increased by more than 20%for 2 consecutive years,and the reporting rate of medical and nursing-related events was improved.Conclusion PDCA is an effective quality improvement method,which helps to excavate and find all kinds of subtle problems.Through continuous tracking and improvement,the continuous improvement of adverse event reporting rate and the continuous optimization of event reporting structure are finally realized.
