Rural Industrial Integration and Green Transformation of Agriculture:Impact Effects and Its Mechanism of Action
At present,the green transformation of agriculture has become an important strategy for China's agricultural development in the new development stage.With the continuous and in-depth promotion of the rural revitalization strategy,the integration of rural industries has gradually achieved tangible results,which has not only injected new vitality into the rural economy,but also become a key force in promoting the green transformation of agriculture.The effects and mechanisms of rural industrial integration on green transformation of agriculture were empricially examined using panel data of 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government)from 2008 to 2020 with a two-way fixed effects model.It was found that rural industrial integration has a significant role in promoting green transformation of agriculture.Mechanism analysis showed that rural industrial integration promotes green transformation of agriculture by enhancing the level of agricultural green technological innovation and promoting the large-scale operation of land.Heterogeneity analysis showed that the promotion effect of rural industrial integration on green transformation of agriculture was more significant in the major grain producting areas and the eastern region.Therefore,it was recommended that the integration of rural industries should be used as a tool to promote the green transformation of agriculture,strengthen the innovation of agricultural green technology and promote the large-scale operation of land,thereby promoting the green transformation of agriculture;the integration of rural industries should be promoted in accordance with the local conditions and in differentiated manners,thereby empower the high-quality development of China's agriculture.
