The Path and Function of Multi-ethnic Integration in Salt Areas from the Perspective of the Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation:Based on the Investigation of Yunlong County in Western Yunnan
Multi-ethnic integration is a common phenomenon in the salt areas of southwest China.The traditional salt industry is the core element to understand the exchange and integration of various ethnic groups in the history of Yunlong County,west of Dali.The production,exchange,circulation and consumption of salt have always integrated all ethnic groups in YunLong into the frontier society under the governance of the dynasty state,forming a typical case of ethnic exchanges with local characteristics.The particularity of salt closely combines political control,market exchange and cultural prosperity,thus reflecting the presence of the state and realizing local and national interaction.For the purpose of salt well development and utilization,resource sharing and cultural communication have been realized,and the unity of local nationalities has been strengthened.The mutual learning and absorption of the languages of all ethnic groups in salt areas has further enhanced national feelings and played a positive role in building a strong Chinese national community.
